bibli ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at bibli.page (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our Service.
1. Information We Collect

Usage Data. We automatically collect certain information when you access the Service, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how users interact with the Service.
Cookies. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies in the following categories: (a) Strictly necessary cookies, required for authentication, session management, security, and core functionality of the Service; (b) Analytics cookies, which help us understand how the Service is used (currently provided by Google Analytics); and (c) Preference cookies, which remember settings such as theme. We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Create and manage your account
- Publish and display your content as you direct
- Improve, personalize, and expand the Service
- Communicate with you, including for customer support and updates
- Monitor and analyze usage trends
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Public Content. Scenes and profile information you choose to publish are visible to other users and the general public.
- Service Providers. We may share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (such as hosting, analytics, and email delivery).
- Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.
- Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Sub-Processors. We currently rely on the following categories of sub-processors to operate the Service: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Resend (transactional email), Google Analytics (usage analytics), and our hosting and content-delivery provider. These providers process personal information only on our behalf and under contractual data-protection commitments. The current list of sub-processors may change from time to time; material changes will be reflected in updates to this Policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it by law.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Security Incidents. In the event of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and applicable regulators where and as required by law, and will do so without undue delay after becoming aware of the incident. Our liability in connection with any such incident is limited as set forth in the Terms of Service.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Request a portable copy of your data
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@bibli.page.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
9. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or in any other country in which we or our service providers maintain facilities. The data protection laws of these countries may differ from those of your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence.
EEA, UK, and Swiss Users. Where required by applicable law, our legal basis for processing your personal information depends on the information concerned and the context in which we collect it. We generally rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where required.
California Residents. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
10. Marketing Communications
With your consent, or where otherwise permitted by law, we may send you newsletters, product updates, and other marketing communications by email. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each message or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect transactional or service-related messages necessary for operating your account.
11. Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may create aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data from the personal information we collect (for example, aggregate reading statistics or genre trends). Once data is aggregated or anonymized so that it can no longer reasonably be used to identify you, it is no longer considered personal information under this Policy, and we may use and disclose it for any lawful purpose, including to improve the Service and to share editorial insights publicly.
12. Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. Because no consistent industry standard has been adopted regarding how to interpret these signals, the Service does not currently respond to Do Not Track requests. You may still control cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings as described above.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. For material changes, we may also provide additional notice (for example, by email or by an in-Service notice). Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
