Episode 69: One More Time
Quantum Arena
The giant hoop finally came to a stop.
For a long moment, no one moved.
Hanul stretched his sore arms.
“…So.”
“I guess it’s really over.”
Darin sat on the grass.
“It went by so fast.”
Jinwoo looked across the playground.
Every corner held a memory.
The kicking field.
The spinning tops.
The marbles.
The strings beneath the old tree.
Even the giant hoop.
He smiled quietly.
“…I don’t want to leave yet.”
Hanul laughed.
“I was about to say that.”
Darin stood up.
“I’m going back to the spinning tops.”
“This time… I’m definitely winning.”
Hanul grinned.
“Then I’m coming too.”
“I still haven’t beaten Jinwoo at marbles.”
Soyeon looked toward the old tree.
“I’d like to make the strings one more time.”
One by one, they began walking.
Not toward home.
Toward the playgrounds they had already finished.
Arena watched quietly.
No calculation appeared.
No message was displayed.
The children were no longer playing because they had been told to.
They played because they wanted to.
Far away, inside the Quantum Data Center, another calculation quietly updated.
Remaining time… decreasing.
Arena said nothing.
The children laughed together.
Their voices echoed across the village.
For a little while longer… it was still only a playground.
