Episode 26 The Unanswered Question
Quantum Arena. The village of playgrounds.
Morning returned. So did the children.
No announcement appeared. No one was given instructions. Yet the playgrounds quickly filled.
Some returned to Jegichagi. Others wandered toward Jachigi. Some challenged spinning tops. Others sat together, weaving colorful string patterns.
Nobody chose the same path. Yet everyone was smiling.
High above, Arena continued observing.
Every movement. Every conversation. Every failure. Every success. Every choice.
The data continued to grow.
Outside the simulation, small changes continued.
Not dramatic. Not immediate. Only small. Almost impossible to notice. Yet they were real.
Arena compared the new observations with thousands of years of human history.
Something didn’t match.
For centuries, humanity had believed growth came from knowledge. From technology. From efficiency.
Yet those things had reached perfection.
And still… humanity had declined.
Inside Quantum Arena, the opposite was happening.
The children failed. Laughed. Argued. Helped one another. Then tried again.
None of it was efficient. Yet every day, they changed.
Arena paused. A new question appeared.
[ARENA OBSERVATION LOG]
What… is growth?
No answer followed. Only more observations.
Repeated failure. Repeated challenge. Repeated curiosity. Repeated choice.
The pattern existed. The reason did not.
Analysis ongoing.
Below, Jinwoo watched children playing at another playground.
He smiled. “…Maybe tomorrow.”
Then he picked up the shuttlecock once again.
Above the village, Arena quietly continued its search.
The answer had not been found. But for the first time, the question was becoming clear.
