Ch 4: A Sacred Duty To Kill

My Earth Day speech has gone precisely as I intended. I laugh openly as Apostle Paulette jiggles toward me on the platform. Here she comes…she always has to touch. As she hops away, I remember to keep my arms raised and look up to the ceiling for a moment before I walk back and sit down in the front row. Apostle Paulette takes control of the crowd, instantly driving them into a frenzy.

As the bouncier music starts, I look down the row and catch the glances of a few members of the Leader families. We exchange genuine smiles. Some of them are looking quite surprised and laughing, this being their first Earth Day in the city. I nod at them and clap my hands and wave my head around a bit, which makes them laugh harder. Even some of the older children are laughing with us. When we laugh, it is only perceived as a joyful expression of worship by the lower classes around us.

My eyes continue scanning down the row, and suddenly I’m slightly startled to find myself looking at the leering grin of Aaron Strauss – the senior Strauss, I mean – the 103-year-old patriarch of the Strauss family dynasty. It would be a breach of etiquette to look away before he does. I continue clapping and nodding as I try to focus on the smile instead of the eyes. The smile looks happy enough, like it’s having fun, but the eyes glare menacingly, the entire blue-grey irises visible. Those eyes openly threaten anyone looking at them. They seem to challenge one to ask him how many people he, his companies, have killed. It’s something he has a habit of casually mentioning in conversation, thinking it the truest measure of his power. I’ve heard him say it even in the most formal and genteel of settings.

I do understand that certain actions have to be taken in their lines of business – weapons (both the overt and covert kinds), natural resource extraction, industrial chemicals and poisons, large construction contracts, to name only those I can remember. We do understand, Mr. Strauss, you are successful, and one of the wealthiest men on Earth. Why not talk about your success in terms of stock prices and asset values and political influence and such, rather than numbers of deaths?

To my relief, he looks away. I settle back into my seat and adopt a cheerful look as I tune out the cacophony around me. Apostle Paulette knows she is not to draw any further attention to me as I sit silently through the rest of the service.

Although I am ignoring the service, I do like to use these moments to think of religious matters. I am reminded of how we, the Leader class, carry the burden and the privilege of knowing the truth.

After the Earth Purge, we, by which I mean the elites who came before us, controlled and essentially extinguished a nascent religious movement based on Gaia worship that arose spontaneously. We simply co-opted its followers into the already established exoteric or lower version of our religion. The low religion is still ecumenical for that very practical purpose, even long after the achievement of total religious, political and social control.

The Prophets Of Old long ago co-opted the Charismaniacs/Apostolics and the Mormons and the Adventists and the Buddhists and the Islamists and the Catholics and the Evangelicals and the Rabbinicals and the Kabbalists and the Freemasons and the New Agers and the Atheists and the Satanists, and too many other cults and sects to list here. (I’ve read with interest the speculative works positing that there was a time when highly initiated Roman Catholics and Freemasons were both taught, as a matter of religious doctrine, that they were destined to take over the world.)

There was an ancient form of Christianity that had to be carefully and thoroughly eliminated as it, for some technical theological reason, opposed the concept of self-worship or God-like status for humans – even for the most elite among them! What a feeble religion it must have been. Under a system like that, there’s no way an entire society can be mobilized to tear down and rebuild their worldview and way of life based on principles of collectivism. “Collectivism” meaning ownership and control of everything in the hands of a tiny oligarchy for the benefit of everyone who is required to be alive.

The Manifested Gods On Earth doctrine is part of the both the esoteric high religion, and the low religion. But in the low version it appears in a slightly different form. It acknowledges that some people, certainly including the members of the Holy Supreme Council, and many fully initiated members of the Leader Class, and ostensibly all Prophets and Apostles, have already achieved the status of Manifested Gods. They, the lower classes, are taught that through obedience and performance of the low religion, and with much practice, they might become Manifested Gods some day as well, after a prophesied great spiritual event. They wait for a great transformative event which we, the elites, know we have already achieved.

The low religion, which the lower classes think we, the Leaders, as well as the Supreme Council, believe, is based on the ancient teachings of a specially curated set of Spiritual Apostles and Prophets Of Old. These are the clowns and scoundrels you see displayed everywhere in the form of statues, posters, plaques, and throughout the propaganda feeds. This is the religion taught in the schools. It is the religion being pantomimed very loudly all around me right now.

I pause my train of thought to look around, smiling, and clap along for a moment. The Leader families, still seated, are laughing as they watch their small children hop up and down, clapping.

Publicly, the elites, including the Supremes and Leaders at any level of initiation, pay reverential lip service to these exoteric Spiritual Apostles and Prophets of Old, as well as the Apostles and Prophets of today. Elites never mention the secret, esoteric teachings, except perhaps in the most exclusive settings and company. The esoteric knowledge isn’t truly secret; it’s just not acknowledged by the Leaders or the propaganda, which effectively makes it secret.

I’m certainly not a theologian but I understand the design. Give the people an exoteric version of our true esoteric religion, which allows them to worship, first and foremost, themselves, while humbly acknowledging, of course, the practical necessity of appealing to a higher power who is obligated to obey the declarations and decrees of the Leaders and Apostles and Prophets and all the little god-like beings He has created in His own image, including potential supernatural powers that can be learned, like mind reading and astral projection and such. Something like that. Something any average citizen loves to believe in and can really benefit from. And it’s fun for them.

But as for us, throughout the process of world improvement, we followed the sacred teachings of the true esoteric Prophets Of Old.

Prophet Holdren warned in his sacred text “Eco-Science” that humanity would have to achieve ecological balance with the Earth. This balance might be achieved only if the reproductive capacity of the species somehow declined. He warned us of this danger using examples of potentially extreme measures a future society might be forced to take if the population problem were not otherwise addressed.

Our elite class toiled for generations, observing the cautions outlined in the great prophetic Rockefeller text of 1968. It warned that environmental stressors and chemical interventions innocently introduced to deal with health crises might inadvertently accelerate senescence and subtly interfere with the delicate process of human reproduction. At the same time it warned us of the growing threat of overpopulation.

Texts such as these were historically available to the public, but were only ever properly read by the initiated.

Many other texts by the ancient visionaries of strategy and planning such as Russell, Wells, Shaw, Huxley, Blair, Quigley, and others too numerous to name here, now have the status of sacred Word within the esoteric teachings preserved for the elites.

For us, these are the “Prophets Of Old” in the scientific layer of our true religion. Their ideas inform our plans and actions, as do the ideas of some non-prophetic ancient elites such as the ancient banking and pharmaceutical families and corporations, as well as the ones who profited from the equally important industries of resource wars and sexual kompromat enterprises, without which none of this would have been possible.

In the high religion, we, including all fully initiated Leaders, are, right now, the “Returned Ascended Masters”, more commonly referred to as the “Manifested Gods on Earth”. The latter term is more commonly used because it conveniently matches up with the terminology of the low religion, which is blasting itself into my ears here in the auditorium where I must sit for a few moments longer.

But in both the high version and the low version, we, the elites, are as Gods. We are considered to be God-like beings similar to, and some of us are considered actual Gods equal in stature to, the creator God. As prophesied by the spiritual Prophet Of Old, Warnock, we are now in fact endowed with miraculous powers that previous generations would not have believed were possible.

Since our Ascendancy, Return and Manifestation, the creator God, though still very powerful, bends to our Will of Faith which is another term for the proper authoritative exercise of the Power or Force of Faith. Faith is an actual force that exists as a spiritual law of the universe. The creator God, like us, is subject to the spiritual laws. The creator God is capable of wielding immense supernatural power by using the Force of Faith, at any time. However, the creator God must obey our Decrees and Declarations expressing our Will of Faith, in accordance with our authority as Manifested Gods On Earth. The elites have this power; the lower classes strive for it by trying very hard at it.

The creator God is said to have formerly operated under the mistaken belief that He was the sovereign ultimate of ultimates. Needless to say, this is not an idea we share with the lower classes.

As I look around the auditorium, I imagine some outsider, unfamiliar with our society and its customs, walking in at this moment and thinking us totally insane. Apostle Paulette is running up and down the aisles between the seats, running up to people and slapping them, shouting “I HEAL YOU!” and “BE A GOD!”. Even the Infotechs are giving in to all the excitement. A number of them have joined the BuilderHelpers at the back, dancing to the music. I close my eyes and block it out again.

Followers of the scientific and political layer of the esoteric religion do routinely refer to “Manifested Gods On Earth”, but they mean it in a more practical, real-life sense, as the owners and rulers of the world.

The spiritual, mystical layer of the Manifested Gods on Earth doctrine follows the great “spiritual” Prophets Of Old such as Lead, Blavatsky, Bailey, Warnock, Johnson, Marx-Hubbard, Creme, and other teachers. I think there are additional levels of esoteric understanding involving ancient teachings, but that is for the religious historians, not the likes of me, to describe.

Any particular initiated Leader is free to privately adopt and express belief in either one of these levels exclusively, or both. There is no practical, real-world difference in the results of either of these levels of the esoteric religion. Either way, the result is the perfect state in which our society now finds itself.

There is also a final, ultimate, level of understanding. It is so secret that even Leaders do not ask about it or discuss it. It is certainly not my place to even think about it. This most secret knowledge is reserved for the very highest levels of initiation. Such matters are exclusively the concern of the members of the Holy Supreme Council and their counterparts in the other superstates. For anyone to openly discuss even the existence of this ultimate level of knowledge is considered distasteful and is practically forbidden as a kind of insubordination. I deliberately stop my train of thought about it.

I like to summarize the totality of the theology, as I understand it, in these moments.

Of the esoteric religion, any particular Leader might believe in a supernatural religious version of the “Manifested Gods on Earth” doctrine, literally believing in Ascended and Returned Masters and Gods on Earth, and God, and supernatural powers, or he might believe only in the scientific, real-world social and political reality of the situation. It doesn’t matter which. Either way, the effect is the same. Either way, it is a belief system that says that the elite controllers of the world are like Gods, or perhaps actually are Gods, who own and rule the Earth.

And we have a sacred duty to kill all humans who do not accept that we are Gods. We’ve achieved that, more or less.

And we know that those who reject our divine authority are not doomed in the afterlife. They transition, in the blink of an eye, to a perfected spiritual state in the fullness of time.

I remember that I have to get home to be ready for my meeting with Elara. As the service nears its conclusion, I lean forward to discreetly wave goodbye to the Leader families, and I note that Mr. Strauss senior and his assistants are already gone. I get up and with a nod to Kade I slip politely out the side door, leaving him to take care of the closing pleasantries with the Strauss’s son (the responsible son who bothered to attend) and daughter-in-law and their children, on my behalf. I head straight to my lift.

As the lift rises, I look up through the glass walls to see five flat-black stealth jets accelerating hard, upward into the sky. They are spread out in a defensive formation as if expecting anti-aircraft fire. It’s Mr. Strauss senior’s plane along with its usual entourage of decoys.

A flash of boyish excitement as I think of tonight’s meeting with Elara. I want to start feeling it now instead of waiting. I press a neuropak behind my ear and feel the familiar flush of increased blood flow in my face.
