Beginning of the Fall

An empty land filled with bodies of the fallen..... Amidst the chaos a man fighting against a glowing being.the man barely holds on against the creature as the creature starts talking, it's voice piercing through the air,

"your son will be the undoing of this universe, killing him is the greater good why don't you understand" 
The creature floated in the air with large godly wings emitting a blinding flash of light.

The man wore a shining golden armor, tainted with his own bloodstains. Blood flowed down from the injuries on his face.

the man lifted his sword of the ground barely able to lift it due to the profuse bleeding, he can barely stand in his feet,

"if I have to let my son die to save the universe then let the universe burn for all I can care..."

The creature responded with a cold gesture,
"Sorry but I simply cannot allow that to happen."

As it counter charged with a shorter sword

They clash with the sound of metals clashing ringing through the air,asthe impact created a bright explosion.

Who is this man? what is that being? why is the man's son the undoing of the universe....?
